Historical Revisionism and the Conspiratorial View of History
Though the ranks are thinning, there still exists today those who believe the official stories of the JFK assassination (40%) and the attacks on 9/11 (50%).
Despite great progress in rational, evidence-based discovery of fact and the clear refutation of official false-narratives promulgated by the US Government and its protectors surrounding JFK and 9/11, there is much less progress in other major historical events: great swaths of people still cling to many historical myths too uncomfortable to question. Some of these myths are so dangerous 17 countries have found it necessary to fine or imprison any who may question ‘settled history’. It seems certain areas of the historical record are off limits; today’s history requires laws –in place of evidence– to protect questionable official assertions.
What is PNAC? PNAC stands for Project for the New American Century. It was founded by William Kristol and Robert Kagan in 1997 and dissolved in 2006. Interesting to note the amazing list of signatories below and that Robert Kagan’s wife Victoria Nuland is Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the United States Department of State. Victoria was recorded talking to U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Geoffrey Pyatt, on January 28, 2014 where she said “F*CK the EU“. The Mass Media generally focused on her scandalizing use of a curse word, but neglected to report on the important part of the recording where it was revealed that she and Pyatt were running the regime change in Ukraine while the Media dutifully blamed Putin’s so called aggression. If you want to listen to the entire conversation, just search on YouTube for Nuland and Pyatt or listen to the link below.
So what was PNAC? It was a Washington think tank who said that we need a ‘New Pearl Harbor’ to transform America, Rebuilding America’s Defenses; Creating Tomorrow’s Dominant Force using new technologies and operational concepts. They lamented though … that this transformation of American armed forces through “new technologies and operational concepts” was likely to be a long one, “absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor.”
Of the twenty-five people who signed the PNAC’s founding statement of principles, ten went on to serve in the administration of U.S. President George W. Bush, including Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Paul Wolfowitz. Observers such as Irwin Stelzer and Dave Grondin have suggested that the PNAC played a key role in shaping the foreign policy of the Bush Administration, particularly in building support for the Iraq War
The Project for the New American Century (PNAC) was a neoconservative think tank based in Washington, D.C. that focused on United States foreign policy. It was established as a non-profit educational organization in 1997, and founded by William Kristol and Robert Kagan. The PNAC’s stated goal was “to promote American global leadership”. The organization stated that “American leadership is good both for America and for the world,” and sought to build support for “a Reaganite policy of military strength and moral clarity”
Rebuilding America’s Defenses
Written before the September 11 attacks, and during political debates of the War in Iraq, a section of Rebuilding America’s Defenses entitled “Creating Tomorrow’s Dominant Force” became the subject of considerable controversy. The passage suggested that the transformation of American armed forces through “new technologies and operational concepts” was likely to be a long one, “absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor.” Journalist John Pilger pointed to this passage when he argued that Bush administration had used the events of September 11 as an opportunity to capitalize on long-desired plans.
from Joe Plummer:“Rebuilding America’s Defenses” report from the PNAC site circa 2004 and later posted at the link below. Anyone interested can search the PDF for “Pearl Harbor” (no quotes) to find the oft-cited admission that such an event would speed their plans along. You can also search “transcends” if you want to find out why they demonized Saddam Hussein after 9/11. (Hint: It had nothing to do with him. They wanted to project “American force” into the Gulf region regardless of whether or not he was in power.) http://tree3.com/rebuilding.pdf
